Service Description
A Comprehensive Package that includes support, advocacy, education, & coaching throughout the pre-natal, labour/birth, and postpartum periods with the intention to uphold, respect, honor, and support physiological birth. I walk alongside you, help protect you, and advocate for you to have the birth experience you desire. I serve as your pillar of strength and safety when you are most vulnerable. I help uphold your autonomy in the throes of labour, allowing you to fully surrender into the void. I uphold Birth as a Sacred Rite of Passage and an opportunity for immense transformation. You are born onto this Earth as a Sovereign being with a body that holds infinite wisdom. Your body is conscious, connected, and wise. It is self-healing, self-governing, and self-regulating. Your body KNOWS how to create life within your Womb and birth that life into this Earth realm. It only needs support from your environment, and an openness in your heart and mind to allow its Divine wisdom and magic to unfold. Your body needs to feel safe and supported so you can fully SURRENDER, let go, and be present. YOU are in charge. WHAT IS INCLUDED? 🖤 Initial Intake Interview - to ensure there is resonance between us and that we want to embark on this journey together; it is important to have full resonance (a full body YES) with those you invite into your birth space 🖤 Pre-natal support and education - a minimum of 1 session per month (may increase to 2 sessions toward end of pregnancy); each session is 1-2 hours and can be virtual (online) or in-person 🖤 Creation of a Birth Plan - assistance to create and write a birth plan that upholds your birth vision, supports your autonomy, communicates your desires, and solidifies your rights 🖤 Meet & Greet with the Birth Team - optional, but recommended - attendance at a meeting with your birth team (midwife, other support workers, family - whoever will be in your birth portal) so we can discuss your desires, intentions, and birth plan 🖤 Hands-on Doula support during labour & birth, in the location of your choice (home, hospital, or birth centre) - this includes sacred space holding, presence, support, and advocacy to uphold physiological birth and ensure your wishes are respected and honored. The goal is to keep YOU in control of your birth and safeguard your body and your experience. 🖤 Postpartum Support - to aid and support your transition into Matrescence; telephone support and check-ins during the first 4 weeks

Disclaimer: Although I do have a background in health care, I am NOT functioning as a health care provider in this role; I am, however, your dedicated and skilled advocate, and I will accompany you even if re-location is required during labour/birth (from home to hospital). My top priority is to ensure you have a transformative, positive, healing, and empowering birth experience - however that looks for YOU. By accepting me as your Birth Doula and Advocate, you waive Angela Bailey / Emerald Eagle Holistics of all legal responsibilities and liabilities - you accept full responsibility for your own body, baby, and birth experience, including the outcomes of your pregnancy and birth. You will be required to sign a Waiver at the outset of our journey together. It is strongly recommended that you seek the support of a skilled Midwife, especially in the case of a home birth. **I am willing to support those who choose "free birthing," where the woman opts NOT to have a midwife or professional support person present in her birth space. Free birth support is offered on a case-by-case basis, requiring careful consideration of a number of factors; as a result, you will be required to complete an initial intake interview before I can make a commitment to proceed. **NOTE: the focus of my support is in the pre-natal period and labour/birth space, but post-partum is also a CRITICAL time; further postpartum support is available for an additional investment My services are NOT intended to substitute OR replace the role of your partner (baby's father/other parent) in the birth space. My presence is meant to COMPLEMENT the experience and ensure you are both able to open, receive, and engage as much as possible with the birth of your baby, while also upholding and respecting your wishes/preferences. My role is to EMPOWER both of you, and uphold the sanctity of this transformative experience. While you are birthing a new baby/Soul into the Earth, you are also each birthing new versions of yourself as "Mother"/"Father"/etc. __________________________________________________________________________ If you choose to terminate our agreement at any time, you will receive a refund in accordance with the amount of time that has passed since our initial interview as well as the amount of sessions already completed.
